Penny Pickup - Final day

Today's pick up was our last one and our largest.

Penny Pickup - Day 4

Today’s pick up went extremely smooth.
School Support Fellow Robert assisted Andre and Derrick and with his help they were able to load nine cribs for a total of 725 sacks.

 Penny Pickup - Day 3:

Facing the beautiful Manhattan skyline for day 3 of Penny Pick-ups, Andre and Derrick greeted drivers hauling well over 804 huge sacks of pennies. One driver arrived in a van with 189 30lb penny sacks- can you say back pain? Congratulations to yesterday’s schools for such an amazing haul!

Penny Pickup Day 2:

On January 8, 2013, the second pickup date, 57 schools released their harvests totaling over 540 sacks! Andre and Derrick continued their work at the docks, alongside the drivers and staff of Perfect Courier.

Penny Pickup Day 1:

The pickup season is here! We’ve coordinated Penny Pickup for 571 schools throughout New York City, the remaining coaches from 56 schools have opted to mail in the collections and some will join their student leaders in personally delivering sacks to the Common Cents’ office!

On January 7, 2013, the first pickup date, 54 schools released their harvests totaling 685 sacks! School Support Fellow Shari McDonald, Administration and Data Associate Jordan Conan and Pickup Interns Andre and Derrick verified all Pickup Receipts and packaged the sacks for our counting house near the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
