Hurricane Harvest: helping students rebuild New York City

Across New York City, schools and students are dedicating this year's Penny Harvest to recovery efforts after Hurricane Sandy.

Hundreds of schools have already re-named the year-long program “Hurricane Harvest.”

In fact In many of these schools, Hurricane Harvest has become the school's fundraising response to Hurricane Sandy.

Student leaders are asking members of the school community not only to give their pennies, but also their dollars.

Instead of the slogan, “With your pennies, we'll change the world,” they are now saying:  “With your dollars, we'll rebuild New York!”

As always, 100% of the funds collected will be given away by your students to help others.
